Jim and Elise believed in the power of the individual and the entrepreneurial spirit. They exposed their seven children to the wisdom and insight of Napoleon Hill ("Think and Grow Rich"), Dale Carnegie ("How to Win Friends and Influence People"), Norman Vincent Peale ("The Power of Positive Thinking"), and Sam Walton ("Made in America"). And whether in the Ozarks on the Current River or in Barnhart, Missouri on Moloney Cabin Ridge Road, Jim and Elise shared with their children and grandchildren their love of nature and the outdoors.
